Native deciduous tree with palmately compound leaves and 6 inch red panicle blooms in March.

Mature size: 10-20 feet tall.

Attracts hummingbirds.

Easy to grow.

Prefers regular water and rich woodland soil but drought and clay soil are well-tolerated.

Leaves drop in September with little color change.

Hardiness: USDA Zones 4-8.

Height at time of shipping varies on this hard to find native plant. Trunk height of tree you receive might be short, usually between 8-12 inches, but root system well-established. If size matters to you, inquire prior to ordering.
